Steve Strode, MS, brings more 24 years of experience to his role as executive vice president at Clinovations within Advisory Board Consulting. He works side-by-side with operational and clinical leaders within health systems and medical groups to optimize their electronic health records (EHRs) and other large health IT investments to drive value and profitability.
Steve specializes in the areas of practice management, outpatient strategy and operations, system implementation and optimization, revenue cycle redesign, and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he leads the ambulatory consulting services in both the ambulatory and outpatient setting. In his current role, Steve led the implementation of Epic within two community hospitals for a large health system and supported the implementation of Epic and a practice management application at a large, digestive disease institute within an integrated health system in the Midwest.
Prior to joining Clinovations, Steve served as the vice president of Ambulatory Services for Rockford Health System in Rockford, Ill. In this role, he was responsible for leading ambulatory services strategy and growth and performance improvement initiatives, as well as overseeing lab, imaging, pharmacy, respiratory and neuro-diagnostic services. Earlier in his career, Steve served in a number of roles, including senior consultant and later senior manager, for the health care consulting practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP in Chicago. Previously, he also served as administrative manager for the Department of Urology and later the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
Steve received his Master of Science in health systems management from Rush University in Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
