Monica Westhead is the Practice Manager of the Post-Acute Care Collaborative, the research arm of The Advisory Board Company dedicated to the improvement of post-acute and long-term care. In this role, Monica leads research and acts as a strategic partner to member executives.
She began her Advisory Board career as part of the Nursing Executive Center, conducting clinical operations research for acute care nurse leaders, before transitioning in 2013 to focus exclusively on post-acute care.
She has worked extensively on issues pertaining to frontline clinical staff, including staff engagement, accountability, and understanding of key market forces and industry changes. Her other areas of expertise include tactics for improving the patient experience, promoting cross-continuum integration, and achieving strategic growth through the development of successful clinical specialty lines.
Monica is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in Political Science.
