Experience and background

Greg Shufelt works on the Strategy Consulting team within Optum Advisory & Implementation, with a focus on transformative value-based care growth and performance strategies. He has over 20 years of healthcare management consulting experience, with a focus on advising payers, health systems, and physician groups on the development of value-oriented, sustainable growth strategies.

In this role he has helped leadership teams identify and quantify the strategic, operational, and financial impact associated with developing and deploying various value-based care and at-risk models, including payer-provider partnerships, clinically integrated networks, accountable care organizations, and bundled payment programs.
