About Michele

Michele Molden, MBA, brings more than 35 years of health care experience to her role as senior vice president within Advisory Board Consulting. In this role, Michele partners with clients in both comprehensive and focused consulting engagements to assist health systems, as well as employed and independent physician enterprises to achieve financial and operational sustainability for the system, inclusive of both hospital and physician group strategy and operating performance.

Michele was recently named to the 2016 class of Nashville Health Care Council Fellows—a group of 30 senior health care leaders that will address challenges facing the nation’s health care system and collaborate toward transformative solutions.

Before joining Advisory Board, Michele served in multiple positions for Piedmont Healthcare (“Piedmont”) in Atlanta, Ga. Most recently as executive vice president and chief transformation officer, she was responsible for strategic design and corporate business development initiatives for the five hospital system. She focused on both optimizing the existing footprint and supporting new acquisitions to foster continued growth of the health care system. She also served as founding president and CEO for the Piedmont Heart Institute, where she managed the development of a financially and strategically integrated partnership among the health system and more than 100 cardiovascular physicians to form one of the largest, integrated and aligned cardiovascular groups in the country. Prior to her tenure with Piedmont, she served as the vice president of Planning and Marketing at Saint Joseph’s Health System in Atlanta, Ga.

Michele’s educational background includes a master of business administration from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., and a bachelor of arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
