Loren Mann, MBA, MS, brings more than 15 years of experience to his role as vice president of Advisory Board Consulting. In this role, Loren helps hospitals and health systems to improve their strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. He specializes in the delivery of consulting, financial, and strategic business advisory services to large, community-based hospital systems, academic medical centers, and physician practices.
Prior to joining Advisory Board, Loren served as senior director of integrated sales for Huron Consulting Group, where he was responsible for selling, coordinating, and managing large, community-based hospital system, academic medical center, and other nonprofit engagements incorporating clinical and non-clinical revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and process improvement solutions. Most notably, he was responsible for an implementation engagement for a 1,200 bed academic medical center on the East Coast in which he delivered more than $90 million in recurring benefit. Prior to his tenure with Huron, Loren founded TLM Group, a specialty-product manufacturing company.
Loren’s educational background includes a master in business administration from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.; a master of science in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y.; and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Ill.
