Recently, our Payer Research team worked with a group of health plan leaders to create a new identification strategy for pregnancy care management. Our team based their approach on a similar strategy and tactic pioneered by Health Plan Partners (HPP), a Medicaid plan based in Pennsylvania. Through this program, HPP saw a 14% reduction in risk of low birth weight, 20% increase in post-partum office visits, and saved $1.5M in the first 3 months of the program.
