It's hard to believe that three years have already passed since the launch of Advisory Board's healthcare podcast, Radio Advisory.
On our first birthday, I wrote about the essential things I had learned from launching a podcast. At the time, I talked about how important it is to have a clear purpose, that healthcare news is ever-changing, and why we can no longer talk about best practices. I talked about how launching a new channel is impossible to do alone, that you must constantly run experiments, and that the deepest collaboration comes when you have a little bit of fun too.
Since April 2020, these seven principles have remained our true north. In fact, our deepest commitment is to helping health leaders untangle the most complex challenges in healthcare.
While our purpose has remained constant — our approach to storytelling has evolved. For one thing, our team has grown. We now have more producers, marketers, and sound engineers working to bring you the most compelling material in the most accessible way.
When I reflect on those early days, we were so consumed with navigating the COVID-19 crisis. Today, we're tackling different, but still extraordinarily complex challenges. We've talked about state of hospital finances, the rise of the payvider, ethical artificial intelligence, the growth of Medicare Advantage, climate action, and so much more.
We're also testing out new formats, including guest hosts, and we're even doing some live episodes. You will see (hear?) more of these experiments in your Radio Advisory feed in 2023. Subscribe today to hear those episodes as they are released.
On our third birthday, Radio Advisory is no longer the new kid in podcasting. We are the go-to platform for healthcare stories that matter with a loyal listener base. But the thing that has changed the most, and the thing that I am most proud of, is the number of thought leaders and ideas we can bring to you. In three years, we've featured 127 unique voices on Radio Advisory. And, we're only getting started.
As we celebrate our third birthday, we're excited to continue exploring the complex challenges facing healthcare today. We want to thank our listeners for their support and encourage them to keep tuning in as we share new insights, new stories, and new perspectives. Here's to another year of Radio Advisory and to the ever-evolving healthcare industry that inspires us to keep telling its stories.
