The Indian River Medical Center Health & Wellness Center promotes prevention, education, and healthy living in addition to providing chronic disease management and interventions. • Ballinger: Penn Medicine Radnor’s new LEED-Silver building is planned around an interior courtyard, which provides natural light, calming views, and wayfinding while integrating it into the surrounding landscape. Because parking is accommodated in an attached garage, a large portion of the site is preserved as an active landscape for patients, staff, and the community. • CannonDesign: Located 30 miles at sea, CannonDesign’s new Nantucket Cottage Hospital embraces an aesthetic that honors Nantucket’s architectural vernacular—the exterior adheres to the Historic District Commission’s Regulations. • ESa: Phase I of the CHI St. Luke’s Health - Springwoods Village facility is an approximately 180,000 SF micro hospital that includes emergency/observation, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory surgery center, and four inpatient beds on the first and second floors. • Eppstein Uhen Architects: Designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA), the new Drexel Town Square Health Center sets a new geographical landmark for the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network in southeastern Wisconsin, expanding services into a new market area in a conveniently located retail setting. Highly efficient and flexible for future growth, the 110,000 SF facility brings hospital-level services, including a cancer treatment center, high-end imaging services and outpatient surgery into the community. • Gresham, Smith and Partners: Designed by Gresham, Smith and Partners, Tampa General Hospital’s flagship Brandon Healthplex Outpatient Medical Center increases access to health and patient outreach into Tampa’s Brandon-area suburb. It aims to support population health as one of the first facilities in Florida to house a variety of different services in one building. • HKS: HKS’ new 632,000 SF fifteen-story pediatric outpatient clinic, the Children’s Hospital of Richmond Pavilion, earned LEED Silver Certification. • Hord Coplan Macht: Hord Coplan Macht’s renovation of the Mercy Health Services Personal Physicians office was designed to provide numerous outpatient services to the surrounding community. • Kahler Slater: Western Wisconsin Health partnered with Kahler Slater to master plan and design their new health and wellness campus, an integrated primary and specialty ambulatory care program with 15 licensed CAH beds and capacity to add an additional 10 beds. Key innovations explored to improve efficiency and patient care include: centralized hub for cross-trained staff; off-stage care team collaboration zones; prep/recovery rooms designed to flex as additional ED rooms; integrated community fitness/wellness center. • Rogers, Lovelock + Fritz (RLF): RLF’s new micro-hospital, HealthLink, bridges the void between hospital and urgent care, providing a flexible chassis ranging from 12,500 GSF to 70,000 GSF. • The S/L/A/M Collaborative: Designed by The S/L/A/M Collaborative, the new 9,300 SF Hospital of Special Surgery Sports Rehab is located within the Chelsea Piers Connecticut Sports Complex in Stamford, Connecticut. A collaboration between Stamford Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery, the facility houses the expertise and latest protocols and practices in rehabilitative medicine and physical therapy treatments. • Stantec: Stantec transformed the windowless big-box into the light-filled Penn Medicine Cherry Hill facility that consolidates 20+ practices under one roof. The rejuvenated space features centralized registration that streamlines the patient experience and includes infusion, lab, radiology, radiation oncology, physical therapy, and pharmacy, among other services. • TMPartners: The Northwest Emergency Center at Marana is a prototype design located in a high demand area with an underserved population.
