CY 2022 OPPS Final Rule

On November 2, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the calendar year (CY) 2022 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) final rule that includes annual updates to hospital outpatient payments and quality reporting. The OPPS rule also includes updates to the Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Payment System and quality reporting program. The 2022 final rule includes significant policy changes that impact both hospital outpatient and ASC Medicare reimbursement.
