Continue LogoutFortune recently released its latest list of the "Best Workplaces in Health Care," which highlights small, medium, and large organizations that provide great work experiences for all their employees — including 17 Advisory Board members.
To create the list, Fortune partnered with the people analytics firm Great Place to Work to survey employees about their workplace experiences.
In the last year, Great Place to Work has surveyed companies employing 7.3 million people in the United States and received 1.3 million responses. Of these responses, 222,000 were from employees at companies eligible for the 2026 Best Workplaces in Health Care list.
To be eligible for the list, companies must be Great Place to Work Certified, have 10 or more employees in the United States, and be in the healthcare industry. Companies with 10 to 999 employees were classified as small and medium workplaces while companies with 1,000 or more employees were classified as large workplaces.
Great Place to Work evaluated the companies using its proprietary Trust Index Survey, which includes 60 statements ranked on a five-point scale and two open-ended questions. The survey measures key behaviors that promote trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company.
The list rankings are based on employee feedback, which was analyzed to determine how much the experience is shared by a company's full workforce. Great Place to Work measured the differences in survey responses across demographic groups and roles within each organization to assess both the quality and consistency of the employee experience.
Overall, "[c]ompanies with the broadest set of employees who report positive workplace experience receive the highest rankings on lists," Fortune writes.
