Continue LogoutThe Leapfrog Group on Monday released its 2025 "Top Hospitals" list, recognizing 156 hospitals — including 111 Advisory Board members — for excellence in patient safety and quality of care.
For the list, Leapfrog sorted hospitals into four categories and compared them to their peers. The four categories were:
To be eligible for recognition, all hospitals were required to:
Children's hospitals were also required to meet or make progress toward meeting Leapfrog's standards for CT radiation dose for head and abdomen/pelvis exams and pediatric patient experience. General, rural, and teaching hospitals were required to meet Leapfrog's standard for adult and pediatric complex surgery, have an "A" grade from Leapfrog's Hospital Safety Grade, and meet the Top Hospitals selection committee's highest qualitative standards of excellence.
