The best healthcare workplaces, according to Fortune/Great Place to Work

Fortune and Great Place to Work last week released their annual list of the "Best Workplaces in Health Care," recognizing 22 Advisory Board members.

Methodology

For the list, Great Place to Work analyzed survey responses from more than 185,000 employees. To be eligible for the list, companies must be Great Place to Work-Certified, have 10 or more employees in the United States, and be in the healthcare industry.

Companies with 10 to 999 employees were considered for the small and medium category, while companies with 1,000 or more employees were considered for the large category.

The rankings were determined by employee responses to a survey with quantitative and qualitative feedback through 60 statements on a five-point scale and two open-ended questions. Great Place to Work also collected information from each company, including its industry, revenue, size, and employee demographics.

"Companies with the broadest set of employees who report positive workplace experience receive the highest rankings on lists," Great Place to Work wrote.
