U.S. News & World Report has released its annual list of the 25 best jobs in health care for 2018, with dentists topping the list and physician assistants outranking NPs.
For the list, U.S. News took into account each job's:
According to U.S. News, the 10 best jobs in health care for 2018 were:
1. Dentist;
2. Physician assistant;
3. Nurse practitioner;
4. Orthodontist;
5. Pediatrician;
6. OB-GYN (tie);
7. Oral and maxillofacial surgeon (tie);
8. Physician (tie);
9. Occupational therapist; and
10 Physical therapist.
In addition, health care jobs accounted for eight of the top-10 jobs on U.S. News' list of the top-100 best jobs in America for 2018, which covers all sectors. Health care jobs also comprised the entire top-10 on U.S. News' list of the best-paying jobs, with anesthesiologist leading the list.
