We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet the demands of each individual’s life at work, as well as at home. From the first day on the job, employees are eligible for coverage under most benefit plans, and employees are encouraged to participate in any, or all, of our benefit programs.
Health care coverage
Medical and prescription
We offer three competitive medical plans for eligible employees and their dependents, including two traditional PPO plans and a high-deductible health plan with an employer-funded health reimbursement account to help pay for employee and family health care expenses. Eligible covered dependents include spouses, domestic partners, and children.
Under our PPO dental plan, employees and their dependents have the freedom to select any dentist inside or outside the plan’s network. The comprehensive coverage includes preventive, basic and major restorative dental care, as well as orthodontia for children.
Advisory Board offers a vision care benefit plan that covers employee and covered dependents’ eye exams and corrective eye-care needs.
Finances and savings
Advisory Board offers a 401(k) plan designed to help employees save money for retirement. Employees are automatically enrolled upon joining the company with no waiting period. There is an annual employer contribution, and fully vested contributions within two years.
Commuter benefits plan
We allow employees to allocate pre-tax money toward commuting expenses.
Flexible spending accounts
This includes health care FSA and dependent care FSA plans, which enable staff to pay for health care and dependent care costs on a pre-tax basis.
Life, accidental death and dismemberment, and disability coverage
The Advisory Board Company provides employer-paid group life insurance coverage and AD&D insurance coverage, as well as short- and long-term disability insurance.
Paid time off
The firm provides ample paid (and email-free) holidays and at least 20 paid time-off days annually for vacation, personal, and sick time. Additional paid time off is available to employees for maternity/paternity leave, jury duty, military leave, bereavement, and community service.
In addition to paid leave for new parents, Advisory Board supports employees in creating flexible work arrangements, including flextime, telecommuting, and part-time work.
