  • Array Architects: Jefferson Health and Aegis Project Management engaged Array Architects to design their first-ever multi-specialty clinic at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.   • Ballinger: Patient- and family-centered care is embedded in the design of the 734,000 SF NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center. Designed in collaboration between Ballinger, HOK, and Pei Cobb Reed & Partners, this is a world-class ambulatory care center that combines innovative clinical approaches and cutting-edge technology to provide exceptional care and a seamless patient experience.   • Boulder Associates: Hoag Health Center Foothill Ranch, designed by Boulder Associates, integrates wellness and technology to engage its community. The facility includes a tech-infused exercise studio, healthy food and beverage options, retail partners, educational events, and personalized healthcare coordinators, in addition to an urgent care center.   • BSA LifeStructures: BSA LifeStructures designed the UCHealth Steadman Hawkins Clinic Denver and CU Sports Medicine. The facility boasts a consortium of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, sports performance coaches, and researchers.   • BWBR: The new Avera on Louise Health Campus, including specialty clinics and hospital, puts demanded services and wellness at the forefront of Avera Health's care services in growing Sioux Falls.   • FreemanWhite: Providing comprehensive outpatient cancer treatment, this freestanding cancer center embraces evidence-based design, operational efficiency, and patient focused care. Completed in collaboration between FreemanWhite and HKS, the design of the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center maximizes the patient and family experience, embraces biophilic concepts to promote healing, and incorporates local artwork for positive visual distraction.   • Gresham Smith: UF Health Wildlight Ambulatory Care Center goes beyond diagnostic and treatment spaces to deliver patient-centered programs that support wellness and prevention.   • HDR: The Advocate Outpatient Collaborative's 26th clinic worked with HDR to transform a Sports Authority into an outpatient center for Advocate Aurora Health in 23 weeks. The Outpatient Center's materials and architectural language redefine this busy intersection as a care site and evolving community location, establishing a welcoming experience for patients and staff.   • Hord Coplan Macht: Hord Coplan Macht renovated and expanded an outdated Ambulatory Surgery Building to create a new Outpatient Procedural Center for the UVA Digestive Health Department.   • Kahler Slater: Kahler Slater, in partnership with PG Architecture, Prime Architect and Architect of Record, designed the new 4-story, 70,000 SF, SwedishAmerican Creekside Medical Center. The facility, a division of UW Health, features patient self-rooming facilitated by graphic landmark theming, dual access exam rooms and off stage integrated care team work areas.   • Moody Nolan: Moody Nolan designed the five-story Mile Square Health Center, part of University of Illinois Health. Clad in glass/composite metal panels, the facility provides an open floorplan design with both urgent and primary care medical services to an under-served community.   • Perkins and Will: The Lennar Foundation Medical Center at the University of Miami Health System, an ambulatory surgery center and multi-disciplinary clinic, serves the community, students, and employees. Designed by Perkins and Will, it reinforces the notion of public health and wellness in multiple aspects, including exterior public amenities, calming interior spaces, and sustainable finishes.   • Perkins Eastman: Perkins Eastman designed Children's National's new outpatient and surgery center. This facility will give families in Prince George's County, Maryland greater access to a board range of services by creating a distinct customer experience that reflects the values, thought leadership, and advances in state-of the art pediatric specialty and surgical care delivery.   • PMB: Sutter Health determined that they needed to reconfigure their entire central San Francisco footprint due to the changing nature of healthcare delivery. The Sutter Van Ness Medical Office Building is a 250,000 SF nine-story multi-tenant ambulatory care center with a six-level 383-space subterranean parking structure. (© 2019 Kevin Korczyk)

  • RLF: The Malcolm Grow Medical Clinic and Surgery Center, a new four-story Ambulatory Pavilion, consolidates clinics from multiple outdated buildings into one facility providing comprehensive outpatient services.   • TMPartners: Doctors Hospital of Augusta is home to one of the largest burn centers in the nation. TMPartners designed the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in 2009 to provide a convenient transition to outpatient healing for recovering patients. As a result of an ever-increasing patient load, the Burn Center expansion under construction will provide private rooms and dedicated treatment space consolidated on two floors to ease the service of care for staff and patients.   • ZGF: The University of Virginia, Ivy Mountain Musculoskeletal Center will establish a state-of-the-art center for orthopedic care. The 194,000 SF facility designed by ZGF draws inspiration from the surrounding scenery, with plans for a central garden, outdoor terraces, and a multifunctional landscape with therapy trails to support healing.
