Reversing generations of inequity won’t happen overnight or over any near-term strategic timeline, for that matter. But leaders need to treat equity as an immediate imperative requiring continuous and constant action. While health systems, health plans, and life sciences companies have made bold commitments to equity – no one sector of the industry can accomplish it alone. And CEOs have a specific role in reckoning with historic injustices and advancing health equity to improve the lives of the people they serve.
