Experience & Background
Amanda Okaka is a Consultant with Advisory Board's Life Sciences and Health Care Ecosystem division. She leads research and develops interactive experiences that support life sciences executives in making strategic and operational decisions as the health care ecosystem evolves. Additionally, Amanda authors expert commentary, blog posts, presentations, and other research-based content to deliver research insights to executive audiences.
Though focusing on life sciences, Amanda aims to foster cross-industry collaboration between payers, providers, life sciences, digital health and technology companies, and other key health care stakeholders. Amanda's recent research has focused on topics including: the future of clinical decision-making, evidence generation and use, pharmacy drug benefit design, and health equity.
Before joining Advisory Board, Amanda worked in a number of patient-facing roles, most recently as a clinical research assistant at Boston Medical Center.
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the George Washington University and a Master of Public Health, concentrating in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, from Boston University.
