Methodology

For the list, TIME and Statista evaluated major companies around the world on three key dimensions:

• Employee satisfaction: This dimension was evaluated using survey data from over 200,000 employees from around the world. It included direct recommendations from verified employees and indirect evaluations from industry peers.
• Revenue growth: This dimension was evaluated using data from Statista's revenue database, which includes company growth data from the last three years. Companies had to meet certain criteria to be eligible for consideration, including generating revenue of at least $100 million during the year the most recent data was published and showing positive revenue growth in the last three years.
• Sustainability transparency: This dimension was evaluated based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data from standardized KPIs in Statista's ESG database, as well as targeted data research. Some metrics involved in the evaluation were carbon emissions intensity, share of women on the board of directors, and whether a company had a Corporate Social Responsibility report.

After data was collected and evaluated, TIME and Statista consolidated and weighed it in a scoring model. Scores for all three dimensions were added on an equal percentage basis to create a final ranking score, which was out of 100 points. The top 1000 companies were included on the list of the "World's Best Companies" for 2026.
