The unique preferences of newly diagnosed cancer patients

When patients are first diagnosed with cancer, they are scared and overwhelmed. But they are also motivated to choose a top-notch provider. As cancer patients begin to take a more active role in selecting providers, cancer programs should pay particular attention to the preferences and priorities of one group of patients—the newly diagnosed.
