About Teresa

Teresa is a managing director at Advisory Board, leading consulting engagements and strategic research focused on helping health systems reduce unwarranted care variation.

Teresa joined Advisory Board in early 2006, and most recently managed two of the firm’s national health care research programs: the Physician Executive Council (serving CMOs and other senior health system clinical leaders) and the Physician Practice Roundtable (serving large independent medical groups). There she directed research for national meeting events and publications, and also traveled nationwide to present at strategic planning sessions and board retreats.

Teresa received her M.A. in International Relations from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where she studied on a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and History summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining Advisory Board, she worked as a policy consultant for the California State Legislature and on government relations issues at the California Medical Association.
