Kristen Barlow is a senior consultant with the Post-Acute Care Collaborative research team. Her principal areas of expertise include optimizing the role of physicians in post-acute care delivery and strategic considerations for hospitals engaging in post-acute care delivery. Much of her time is spent exploring strategies for hospital collaboration with post-acute care providers and physicians. Kristen also has worked extensively in the terrain of bundled payments, focusing on the impact of bundles on cardiac service lines as well as post-acute care providers.
Kristen worked on the Cardiovascular Roundtable and Imaging Performance Partnership research teams at Advisory Board from 2007 to 2010, before pursuing a law degree. She rejoined the company in 2014, after working as an associate attorney at the law firm of Fredrikson and Byron in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Kristen holds a BA in political science and French from Grinnell College and a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota.
