About Julie

Julie leads the Physician Practice Roundtable, the Advisory Board's research program dedicated to serving large independent physician organizations. Across her tenure at the Advisory Board, she has led research projects on reducing unwarranted clinical variation, improving hospitalist programs, and building perioperative surgical homes. Julie has also helped organizations optimize high-volume care pathways, including joint replacement.

Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Julie monitored health policy within the New York City Department of Health’s Primary Care Information Project, which helps independent physician practices with the adoption of health IT systems and other practice transformation initiatives. Previously, she served in Oliver Wyman’s Health and Life Sciences practice, and as a research administrator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Julie holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Tech.
