About Julie

Julie Riley is a practice manager with Advisory Board.  She currently leads research for medical leaders within life sciences companies. 

Julie previously led research for the Physician Practice Roundtable, Advisory Board's research program focused on independent physician organizations.  In this capacity, she worked directly with medical group executives to improve board governance and strategic decision-making. 

Her prior research focused on topics such as reducing unwarranted clinical variation, improving hospitalist programs, and optimizing high-volume care pathways, including joint replacement.

Before joining Advisory Board, Julie monitored health policy within the New York City Department of Health’s Primary Care Information Project and worked in the Health and Life Sciences division of Oliver Wyman.  She also served as a research administrator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Julie holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and a degree in economics from Virginia Tech.
