Hamza Hasan is a Practice Manager with The Advisory Board Company’s research division. In this capacity, he oversees the firm’s research aimed at supporting leaders of hospital-sponsored medical groups and physician networks.
Hamza has led over a dozen research initiatives at the firm and his principal areas of expertise include primary care innovation, Medicare payment reform, population health risk stratification and care management models, and innovative consumer-focused delivery models. Hamza devotes a significant portion of his time working directly with members onsite, educating leadership teams and boards about changes to the broader health care market and their options for strategic responses.
Earlier in his career, as part of the Advisory Board’s Medicare Breakeven Initiative, Hamza authored numerous studies of best practices designed to preserve acute-care operating margins.
Hamza graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in economics and global development studies.
Hamza specializes specifically in medical group performance, population health management, and ambulatory strategy.
