About Allison

Allison leads physician strategy research within the Advisory Board’s Research and Insights division, assisting hospital-based, integrated, and independent physicians on a wide range of issues including hospital-physician integration, medical staff issues, physician performance management and care coordination.

Allison joined the firm nine years ago to lead research within the Oncology Roundtable, a membership serving over 600 cancer programs, where she was author of over 20 publications. During her tenure with the firm, she also launched the Academic Medical Center initiative, a dedicated research effort designed to address the unique needs of AMCs as they develop long-term accountable care strategies.

Allison received her MBA in health care management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was named a Palmer Scholar. She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry cum laude from Dartmouth College. Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Allison worked with a biotechnology company in Edinburgh, Scotland, and L.E.K. Consulting, advising biotechnology, medical device, and health services companies on a variety of strategic issues.
