Director, Health equity research

Darby Sullivan

Experience and background

Darby leads health equity research at Advisory Board. Her team investigates how cross-industry leaders can address the root causes of health disparities: intergenerational poverty and structural racism. Her focus areas include health equity strategic planning, social determinants of health, behavioral health, and maternal health. Previously, Darby led Advisory Board's "state of the industry" research that provides executives with a strategic analysis of today's top policy and industry trends. She has also led research on population health priorities. She graduated from Boston College with a BA in international studies and a minor in women's and gender studies.

What you need to know about Darby
Darby has spearheaded Advisory Board's commitment to advancing health equity through research and insights. She has been invited by organizations, like The Atlantic and HLTH, to share her expertise and deliver tailored presentations and workshops to providers, health plans, and life sciences executives. When she's not researching, Darby likes tending to her plant collection, playing the guitar, and hiking in remote national parks.
