Mark serves as a subject matter expert on the digital health team providing an IT operational and strategic perspective to their work. Prior to Advisory Board, Mark was the chief information officer (CIO) for a west-coast health system for twenty-four years. In addition to the typical responsibilities of a CIO, Mark oversaw numerous other support functions including construction, supply chain management, and guest services.

Mark has also worked as a digital health strategy consultant for a national healthcare technology consulting firm and has a master’s in business administration from UC Berkeley.
