Is consolidation leading to less physician engagement?

Within the current trend toward consolidation of physician practices by hospitals and health systems, physicians may be migrating to less satisfying work environments. New analysis from the Advisory Board's Physician Engagement Survey shows that physicians in solo practices are nearly twice as engaged with their organization than physicians in hospital-based or medical group settings, and yet they are now seeking employment in these consolidated settings in record numbers.
