Health and Wellness
Medical and Rx plans
Employees can choose between three health coverage options, including two traditional PPO plans as well as a high-deductible health plan with an employer-funded health reimbursement account to help pay for employee and family health care expenses. Eligible covered dependents include spouses, domestic partners and children.
Dental plan
Under our PPO dental plan, employees and their dependents have the freedom to select any dentist who is inside or outside the plan’s network. The comprehensive coverage includes preventive, basic and major restorative dental care as well as orthodontia for children.
Vision plan
The Advisory Board Company offers a vision care benefit plan that covers employee and covered dependents’ eye exams and corrective eye-care needs.

The Advisory Board Company provides group life insurance, as well as accidental death and dismemberment insurance, for our employees.

Staff can arrange to pay for health care and dependent care expenses on a pretax basis through flexible spending accounts designed to conveniently and quickly reimburse for qualified expenses throughout the year.
Retirement plan
The Advisory Board Company offers a 401(k) plan designed to help employees save money for retirement. Employees are automatically enrolled upon joining the company with no waiting period. The Company matches employee contributions annually and all contributions and earnings are fully vested within two years.

Employees can purchase ABCO stock quarterly at a discounted rate.
Transportation
The Advisory Board Company offers discounted parking and car rentals, and a commuter benefit program to allow employees to pay for public transportation to and from work on a pretax basis.

Staff can take advantage of a personal resource which can help them, their dependents, and immediate family save time and money by researching health care providers and treatments, scheduling appointments, reviewing benefits, resolving insurance claims and explaining eldercare.
Employee assistance program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free confidential professional counseling services to Advisory Board employees who need assistance with personal, financial, or professional problems. These services include initial consultation, problem assessment, and referrals.
Legal assistance program
The legal assistance program gives employees unlimited in person or telephonic access to a national network of participating attorneys to assist them with a variety of personal legal matters.
