Webinar
Nursing Practice Innovation: The Rule versus the Exception
May 6, 2021
4:00 PM - 4:45 PMAmerica/New_York
To coincide with Florence Nightingale’s 201th birthday, we all recall how 2020 had been specifically identified to be the Year of the Nurse. Local, national, and global organizations had tremendous plans in place to recognize the contributions of nurses and nursing worldwide. But when Covid-19 hit, the Year of the Nurse took on a different meaning. Instead of formal events and celebration, the world watched and recognized nurses and nursing working tirelessly, with the entire profession innovating to meet the pandemic’s demands.
Nurses’ Week 2021 provides all of us in nursing a unique opportunity to reflect on what we accomplished, and where we go from here. Please join Carol Boston-Fleischhauer, the Advisory Board’s chief nursing officer, who will provide an opportunity for professional reflection, and motivation for embracing continued practice innovation on behalf of the patients and families we serve.
In this session we will:
- Examine practice innovations achieved during the height of Covid-19
- Consider the continued applicability of practice innovations beyond the pandemic
- Commit to embracing practice innovation over the long term
