May 26, 2021
2:00 PM - 2:30 PMAmerica/New_York
About this Webinar
Digital inequity, also known as the digital divide, refers to the economic, educational, and sociocultural disparities that arise from inadequate access to and utilization of technology. Covid-19 spurred the rapid expansion of virtual care delivery as the “new normal” for many patients and providers. Yet, for others, this digital boom has exacerbated the existing inequities in digital access and literacy. This webinar is designed to introduce attendees to the elements of digital inequity.
In this session, attendees will learn:
- How technology is a social determinant of health
- How digital inequity is a health care issue
- How to identify digital disparities in your local communities and build towards interventions
