Physician Resistance to EHRs

    Meaningful use-driven adoption of electronic health records is at an all-time high, but many physicians remain uncomfortable with the shift away from traditional documentation. Whether EHRs are being considered, are in implementation, or have been in use for some time, IT leaders are receiving complaints about increased cost, wasted time, and lack of value.

    In this report, we look at the most common concerns regarding EHRs and health care IT, and present our take on how to handle physician pushback.
