There is no doubt that automation in the health care industry is starting to pick up speed, from computer-aided diagnosis during imaging exams to bar-coded petri dishes across labs.

By freeing staff from tasks that can be automated, they can devote more time and expertise to caring for patients, rather than managing supplies or tracking down charts—not to mention cutting costs in the meantime by improving labor utilization.
