About the Webconference Series

CV programs traditionally have focused on reducing device spend, improving efficiency of care delivery, and optimizing staff productivity to improve financial performance. While these strategies have provided returns on fee-for-service profits, the movement toward value-based care will require fundamentally different approaches to care delivery to reduce total costs.

As economic incentives do not yet fully promote reducing utilization of profitable procedures, CV leaders must focus on near-term strategies that target “avoidable” costs—those which represent potentially wasteful spending on unnecessary, inefficient, or suboptimal care.

This unique five-part series provides in-depth analyses of key opportunities for identifying and capturing avoidable costs in the CV service line.
