Serena Bernthal-Jones is a consultant for the HR Advancement Center within Advisory Board’s Research division.
Her areas of expertise include employee engagement, physician leadership development, and burnout prevention. Prior to joining the HR Advancement Center, Serena conducted research for the Physician Executive Council on topics including physician engagement and governance structures for advance practice providers. She has also served on Advisory Board’s Talent Development program, where she developed original curriculum for hospital managers.
Serena graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Carleton College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in women and gender studies.
