Elena is a senior analyst with the Physician Executive Council within the Advisory Board’s Research division. Since joining the team, Elena has specialized in medical group performance and physician issues at hospitals and health systems. Her most recent research focuses on strategies to reduce cost and improve quality by reducing unwarranted clinical variation.
Prior to joining the Research division, Elena served as a dedicated advisor for Quality Compass in the Technology division. In this role she served as an educator and analyst, helping to prioritize improvement opportunities for hospitals striving to advance their infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
Elena earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and Italian studies from Dickinson College.
