Around the nation: West Penn Hospital dresses babies in Mister Rogers outfits (and yes, we have a picture)

    To celebrate National Cardigan Day, which honors "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" star Fred Rogers, West Penn Hospital dressed its newborns in cardigans, in today's bite-sized hospital and health industry news from Kansas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

    • Kansas: Newton Medical Center will open a walk-in health clinic in January 2020. The new clinic will offer non-emergency treatments, as well as treatments for injuries such as strains, sprains, and minor lacerations (Wichita Business Journal, 11/13).

    • North Carolina: Sentara Healthcare has named Phillip Jackson as president of Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City. Jackson most recently served as VP of Erlanger Health System in Tennessee and as CEO of both Erlanger East Hospital and Erlanger North Hospital (Vaidya, Becker's Hospital Review, 11/13).

    • Pennsylvania: To celebrate National Cardigan Day, which honors "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" star Fred Rogers, West Penn Hospital dressed its newborns in red cardigans with ties. West Penn Hospital posted photos of the newborns on Facebook.
