  • Array Architects: New from the ground up, the Emblem Health Medical Office Building was strategically located near major transportation to attract patients to the System’s expanding services. The project is one of the largest new buildings in the neighborhood and will act as a catalyst for community growth. Physician practices are located on the top three floors of the building with a draped and articulated glass wall. The folding glass wall was parametrically designed by Array Architects to mitigate the late afternoon solar gain, as well as provide stunning views of the city from the waiting areas.   • Ballinger: Penn Medicine Radnor, currently under construction, is a 250,000 SF 4-story medical office building. The MOB, designed by Ballinger, has a central courtyard that provides building occupants access to natural light, and features lawns landscaped with native plants.   • BWBR: The BWBR-designed Hennepin Healthcare Clinic and Specialty Center consolidates 26 primary and specialty clinics into an intuitive six-story facility featuring a simple east-west, north-south axis with a central vertical circulation core.   • Davis Partnership Architects: The Sky Ridge Medical Center—Evergreen MOB is the third medical office building designed by Davis Partnership Architects on this campus. The 4-story, 128,000 SF facility supports a number of women- and children-related tenants including a pediatric emergency department. (© 2016 Paul Brokering)

  • Devenney Group Ltd., Architects: Dignity Health’s new 5-story, 121,500 SF medical office building at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center supports excellent care, research, and education as one of the world’s premier destinations for neurology and neurosurgery. Designed by Devenney Group Ltd., Architects, this Phoenix facility houses Barrow Neurological Institute, Barrow Neurological Foundation, and Barrow Brain and Spine.   • ESa: The replacement orthopaedic clinic at the Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance maximizes work flow adjacencies within its three floors of space. Designed by ESa, the facility houses pods of exam rooms, physician viewing/dictation centers, and a high profile patient clinic that primarily serves members of local professional sports teams.   • EYP Architecture & Engineering: The University of Louisville Novak Center for Children’s Health is home to seven clinical levels, lab and radiology services, a conference center, and a rooftop garden. EYP’s use of bold accent colors on each floor reinforces wayfinding and coordinating spirit animals allow children to feel at ease when entering an unfamiliar space.   • FCA: FCA’s design showcases the Brooklyn Health Center as the beating heart of the building. Using a self-rooming model, patients are greeted and go directly to their treatment spaces, receiving top-of-the-line care in a world-class space. (© 2018 Chris Cooper)

  • Hord Coplan Macht: Hord Coplan Macht is designing a 100,000 SF medical office building for the University of Maryland Baltimore Washinton Medical Center. The 5-story building will connect to the hospital and existing parking garage. It will contain outpatient clinics, pharmacy, office space, and a conference center to serve the community.   • JE Dunn Construction: JE Dunn Construction recently completed the Heritage Medical Office Building in Brentwood, TN. The project delivered a 3-story, 63,468 SF building, with two levels of clinical suites and one level of parking on a 3.61-acre site on Westgate Medical Circle. The project scope included all new construction, including building shell and structure and the complete interior build-out of individual clinical suites, as well as site work, access drives, parking areas, and utilities. JE Dunn prefabricated the VRF system ductwork, utilized BIM for MEP coordination, and used Pull Planning for scheduling. (© 2018 ESa)

  • Kahler Slater: Connected via skywalk to the Hospital, the new 92,000 SF HSHS St. John’s Women’s and Children’s Clinic is designed by Kahler Slater as the ‘front door’ for outpatient programs.   • The S/L/A/M Collaborative: Designed by The S/L/A/M Collaborative, the Deaconess Clinic Downtown features a warm, inviting lobby that serves as central registration and waiting. It is home to several practices and physician groups, including Vision Care, Express Care, Lab/Imaging, Psychology/Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Allergy Services, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and offices.   • SmithGroup: Featuring a bold, modern interior, the Alexandria Medical Office Building community-based clinic is designed to reflect Kaiser Permanente’s unique total health model. Designed by SmithGroup, this MOB provides primary care and OB/GYN clinics as well as ancillary imaging, lab, pharmacy, optometry, and physical therapy services in a positive, patient-centric environment.   • TreanorHL: Designed by TreanorHL, Ivinson Memorial Hospital’s new medical office building provides a platform in which IMH can fully integrate primary care services with multiple specialists, offering one-stop shopping for health care customers in the greater Laramie, Wyoming, area.   • Welltower: Welltower partnered with NCA Real Estate and Providence St. Joseph Health to develop the Leonard Cancer Institute, an innovative medical office building, at the Shops at Mission Viejo, a regional shopping mall.   • ZGF Architects: Located in the Playa Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Cedars-Sinai Physician Office & Urgent Care Clinic, designed by ZGF Architects, appeals to the adjacent “Silicon Beach” tech community by providing high-quality, patient-centered services close to where people live and work.
