- Illinois: Walgreens Boots Alliance announced Wednesday that it will be adding at least 600 patient service centers in Walgreens stores across the country as part of its collaboration with LabCorp. Currently, only 17 Walgreens locations have patient service centers (Japsen, Forbes, 10/10).
- Illinois/Wisconsin: Advocate Aurora Health on Tuesday broke ground on a $130 million ambulatory surgery center and medical office building in Pleasant Prairie. The two buildings will be 100,000-square feet each and are slated to open in summer 2020 (Paavola, Becker's Hospital Review, 10/10).
