    The group of nurse practitioners in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center have been dubbed "The Fabulous Six Pack," in today's bite-sized hospital and health industry news from Illinois, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C.

    • Illinois: The Illinois Children's Healthcare Foundation has awarded organizations in five communities throughout Illinois a total of $11.5 million to help children with mental illnesses. The foundation is donating $200,000 in planning grants to each organization this year and will follow that up in November 2019 with $2.1 million grants (AP/Sacramento Bee, 7/16).

    • North Carolina: Six nurse practitioners all working in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center are expecting new babies this year. The earliest baby of the group—who have been dubbed "The Fabulous Six Pack"—is due July 31, and the latest is due December 12 (Brache, KXTV/WFMY, 7/15; WRAL, 7/16).

    • Washington, D.C.: America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) announced on Monday that four new members will be joining the organization. The four members are CalOptima, CareOregon, Health Plan of San Joaquin, and Priority Health (Baker, "Vitals," Axios, 7/16).
