In the health care industry, metrics are increasingly tied to the financial health of an organization—and philanthropy is no exception. Today's hospital and health system fundraising professionals find themselves held to similar standards for metric-driven results.
Our Performance Benchmarking Initiative aims to offer insght into the dynamic of fundraising performance and provide guidance for goal-setting, strategy development, and resource allocation.
Members who submit data receive a rigorous benchmarking report containing comparisons of their fundraising performances to peer institutions from the Philanthropy Leadership Council's database. Submitters can also view their submitted data within the Performance Analyzer, which can be used to compare performance to custom cohorts.
While only submitters can view their data within the Performance Analyzer, all Philanthropy Leadership Council members have access to the online tool and its myriad bechmarks.
How to participate
Members who wish to participate must complete two data reports, one focused on revenue and the one on expenses. We ask for and analyze three years of data, but we've made every effort to minimize the burden on respondents.
You'll find all the materials and instructions you need to submit data on our dedicated page.
