Benjamin advises health care leaders on matters of strategy and operations. Through his research, speaking engagements, and industry relationships, he explores and explains the themes shaping health care today, including M&A and systemness, the evolution of value-based payment, insurer strategy, and the financial impact of consumer-focused disruption. He is a principal author of Advisory Board’s “State of the Union” and a frequent speaker at executive meetings and board retreats for Advisory Board members around the world.
Noted for his energetic and direct style, Benjamin is especially passionate about pushing beyond headlines and buzzwords to reach deeper truths and more actionable insights. Benjamin joined Advisory Board in 2007 from the International Monetary Fund and, earlier, the Congressional Budget Office. He holds a MS in Mathematics and Statistics and a BS in International Economics from Georgetown University.
