- Connecticut: Anne Diamond will resign as president and CEO of Day Kimball Healthcare on Oct. 25 to serve as president of Bridgeport Hospital. Joseph Adiletta, former chair of Day Kimball's board of directors, will serve as interim president and CEO of the organization. Diamond served as president of Day Kimball for two years (Vaidya, Becker's Hospital Review, 9/10).
- New York: Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on Monday announced that New York state will require stores that sell vaping products to post signs warning consumers of potential health effects. The news comes in response to an outbreak of mysterious lung illnesses tied to vaping. - Virginia: UVA Medical Center CEO Pamela Sutton-Wallace will resign in November to join New York-Presbyterian Hospital as SVP and regional chief operating officer. Sutton-Wallace has served as CEO of UVA Medical Center since 2014. Chris Ghaemmaghami, CMO and senior associate dean for clinical affairs, will serve as interim CEO for the medical center (Livingston, Modern Healthcare, 9/10).
