About the Webconference
New evidence documenting the positive impact of palliative care on cancer patient survival has prompted oncology providers to renew their focus on this critical service. While many hospitals have already invested in inpatient palliative care, most cancer patients still lack access in the outpatient setting or are referred too late to realize the full benefits.
This presentation will review the evidence in support of palliative care program development under our current fee-for-service environment as well as under new accountable care payment models and will explore palliative care program models.
