Most people believe that the prime time for innovation is in your 20’s—but it may be older than you think.
In a recent article, Tom Agan (of the firm Rivia) made the case for more mature “ideal” age for innovation—around 40 years old. Why? Older innovators can draw on their vast experience to think of creative new solutions and ideas, yet also have the benefit of having lived through both successes and failures. Drawing on both expertise and lessons learned positions middle-aged workers for innovation success.

In a recently released article, Wired.com reports that the ‘quantified self’ movement has now entered the workplace.
Mobile tech and innovation company Citizen Inc. has launched a voluntary program for employees to collect and share their health, wellness, and productivity data with the company. Citizen hopes to use the data to study employees’ productivity drivers, overall quality of life, and health.
