From 2008 to 2009, respondents overall exhibited strong growth in PET volumes (I'm referring to PET volumes that are performed on either PET scanners or hybrid PET/CT scanners).

As we begin to cull the preliminary results of our 2010 Imaging Volume Trends Survey, I will make some frequent posts across the next few weeks focusing on some interesting findings from the data. Today I will touch on nuclear medicine, a subject of stress for many institutions dealing with the current radioisotope shortage.

There's an app for that, too! The American College of Radiology announced in April 2010 the release of their "ACR Appropriateness Criteria Anytime, Anywhere" application for smart phones, which they developed in collaboration with Skyscape (a company that creates medical reference tools specifically for mobile devices).
