Survey Finds Physicians Overtest to Avoid Malpractice

More than nine out of 10 physicians report that physicians overtest and overtreat in order to shield themselves from malpractice lawsuits, according to a new Archives of Internal Medicine survey.

2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule: Quick Review of Implications for Imaging

On Friday, CMS released the 2011 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule, which sets payment and regulatory policy for physician payment and other non-hospital entities (such as imaging centers and physician offices). Provided below is a quick summary of imaging-related implications.
