The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the much-anticipated final rule defining the term ‘meaningful use’ of electronic health records – a requirement that hospitals and eligible professionals (EPs) must meet in order to qualify for the Medicare and Medicaid incentives. For those who missed this material before, this webconference will address the key characteristics of the final definition, highlight new requirements and discuss changes in relation to the proposed criteria from December 2009, and evaluate the ramifications on hospital strategy, operations and IT investments.
