Each year, we collect national data on turnover, vacancy, and premium labor. Thanks to responses from over 200 member organizations, our CY 2012 benchmarking report includes national benchmarks for 14 metrics, including turnover and vacancy rates by hospital bed size, region, case mix, and union status.
Despite increasing emphasis on greater workforce flexibility, our new report reveals that PRNs and per diems as a percentage of total staff remains relatively low—especially when compared to recommendations set by our core staffing model.
