The intensive provides institution-specific scenarios for operating margins and other key financial metrics in the next five and ten years. It is centered around a facilitated onsite session to promote a broader understanding of market challenges and a customized action plan to drive institutional strategy.
The sensitivity analysis shown below allows users to determine key steps for increasing revenue, reducing cost growth and length of stay (LOS), and developing an expanded ambulatory network that will provide a roadmap to profitability.
Develop a stronger margin improvement strategy
We have developed a multi-phase process that sheds light on improvement opportunities and equips organizations with clear action steps. As always, our staff will be available throughout the Intensive to answer questions and provide additional support.
To start, you will use the Total Margin Scenario Planner Tool, which combines user-submitted qualitative and quantitative responses with Advisory Board research and data, to generate an institution-specific outlook for payer mix, case mix, volume, occupancy, and operating margins.
Once you have completed the assessment, a Health Care Advisory Board expert will come to your organization to facilitate a discussion of your assessment results and present research tailored to your most pressing improvement opportunities.
After collaborating with your executive team, our experts will prepare a customized summary and detailed workplan.
