Making medical home support count toward insurers' medical loss ratios would be a win-win for insurers, providers, and patients alike. With that in mind, provider organization leaders may want to consider drafting a quick letter to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) supporting the idea that insurer support of medical homes count as a medical cost.
